When you use the Upload Image feature or paste a screenshot (Ctrl+V), the file is loaded directly into your browser's local memory using the HTML5 File API and Canvas 2D Context.

• Files are never uploaded to a remote server or cloud storage.
• We cannot view, access, or log the images you inspect.
• When you close or refresh your browser tab, all loaded image data is instantly erased from memory.

3. Live Camera and Webcam Permissions

When you activate the Webcam / Live Camera Mode:

• Your browser prompts you for explicit one-time camera access via the standard WebRTC MediaDevices API.
• The live video stream is displayed strictly as a local visual background layer beneath the digital protractor dial.
• No video recordings, photos, or audio are ever captured, transmitted, or stored on external servers.
• You can revoke camera access at any time through your browser's address bar security settings.

4. Local Storage and Cookies

We do not use invasive third-party tracking cookies or profiling trackers. We use the browser's standard localStorage API solely to store your non-personal interface preferences:

• realprotractor_theme: Remembers your dark or light mode selection.
• realprotractor_calibration: Remembers your optional 1:1 physical millimeter calibration factor so you do not need to re-calibrate each visit.

You can clear this storage at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Because our online protractor is widely used in classrooms for geometry practice and homework, we strictly adhere to children's online privacy protections:

• We do not require registration, email addresses, names, or account passwords.
• We do not collect personal information from any user, including children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA).
• No student profile data is generated, tracked, or monetized.

6. External Assets and CDNs

To maintain fast global loading times and typographic quality, the site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may communicate standard HTTP header information (such as your IP address and user-agent) with these content delivery networks to render typography.
